It’s been quite serious on the forum recently. So I thought it’d give everyone a good laugh by letting you know that I’ve joined the “injured my bicep while sleeping” club.
How the hell it is even possible I don’t know. But I went to bed fine and got up and it is sore as hell. And I had no workout yesterday either.

Aah, so Greg wasn't Moongazing after all. I owe him an apology.
My advice Whiffet is to handcuff your wrists behind your back while sleeping, especially if the sore bicep is in your dominant arm.....

I slept 'wrong' last night and have a nerve pinch in neck this morning. Gotta work this 'kink' out today.

, I know it sounds kind of funny and guys made fun of Greg. But it's possible. It could be Your body telling You something or You just slept on it the wrong way. I sleep lying on both sides and flat on my back. In the past when I had really bad golfer's elbow I would go to sleep and it would feel good. But the next morning I'd wake up on my side and my elbow would be killing me. I've heard in the past, for the lower back, never sleep on Your stomach. Either sleep on Your side or on Your back. If You sleep on Your side another way to alleviate back pain is to sleep with a pillow between Your bent knees. , anyway, Don't sleep on Your stomach if You're at the Idaho retreat.

You'll have a forum full of Greek Gods sauntering past women's gyms, with ladies falling off their 'lip-tickles before you know it. Signs to watch out for : Cangurus with manic grins, wearing daisy dukes and Jerusalem Cruisers.

Yes, true. I forgot about that. That's what happened to Greg's pants when he sneezed while holding one of his flabulous poses.

About 30 years ago, I hurt my lower back in a motorbike accident, and it is still there to remind me. I'll deadlift 100kgs without trouble, but I've reactivated the injury picking up a pillow off the floor, putting on a jumper and putting on my shoes. The only time I've hurt it in the gym was taking a 5kg plate off a Smith machine. (I know I shouldn't have been using a Smith machine.) Basically, living life is fraught with perils.

Sometimes I have slept in a weird position and have woken up with a shoulder completely trashed, like a nonagenarian doing high-rep-bad-form dips...I wonder why the body does not move out of that position.

Just a shot in the dark. I think you do quite lot of isometrics ? Could it be that you've done several that used your shoulders, then not done a moving cool-down, shortly before retiring to bed for the night ? The body MAY not move out of that position spontaneously because it's used to holding still (isometric) and enduring training discomfort, therefore there's no "unusual stimulus" to compel it to move out of the offending position ?
