There is also another really good documentary that just came out on Netflix that is called the "Social Dilemma" which looks at how social media is making us depressed, addicted, anxious and how it influences things like conspiracy theories, race wars , politics and basically how it has destroyed us as all in every way . |

When my daughter started college in 1999, there was a coffee house that was a focal point for students and locals to gather where there were spirited discussions, poetry readings, music. The last time I was in there you could have heard a pin drop as everyone was buried in there laptops. It was quieter than a library.

I have seen this at work.  , I'm usually in my own truck during the week. Every once in a while they send a younger man with me for awhile because someone wants to teach them a lesson. Every one of them except for one young man stayed on their phone. I have someone that is half my age right now. , he's got two phones. He's lazy as heck. Bruce You crack me up, . |

I watched/listened to the doc. I hope people can shake off their trance and wake up or our kids are in trouble, plus, they'll never experience the simple pleasures and pains of just living life in earlier days.

When I was a teenager in the mid-sixties, I remember my father ranting about how spoiled kids are these days and that things were a lot better back in his day, back in the 1920's.
