I did the "royal court" a lot and I guess I did improve my fitness at first, but ended up with hurt elbows and knees, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody even as a free course. As with most all exercises the idea is to do them just enough. Doing them "a lot" is what leads to injuries.

To me hindu squats are the sort of thing where doing them less than "a lot" won't get you any results. You may as well not do them, or do them as an occasional variation, in which case you are not following the combat conditioning course.

Yeah, the high rep calisthenics will catch up with You. Especially that hindu stuff, . I'd rather make it harder which there are many ways. Plus, how many people do You really see doing hindu pushups and squats. If they did it in the past for high reps they aren't doing it now as an older person.

I never had any aches and pains from the royal court but maybe because I didn't do it for a prolonged time. My workout would be day 1 = Hindu squats, I would never go over 350 reps, I would do this in 1 set. Day two = Hindu Push ups, with this I would do sets of around 50 reps, some would be slightly higher, some slightly lower. On this I would not go over325 reps. Then on day 3 I would do neck bridge, never into my nose, just past the top of my head, this I would do for a maximum of 5 minutes. Not in 1 set either, this would be my total time and I would finish this day off with abs workout if my choice. Then in day 4 I would repeat the process. This is how I worked my first month.

I don't know how well Indian wrestlers move when they are older but I notice they tend to have a much more relaxed/comfortable form.
Something that occurred to me a while ago is that the dands are supposed to be balanced out by the mace swings.
