Well I guess I'm odd-man out because I don't take any of that stuff, or a multi-vitamin. But for about the past year, I do use a protein powder occasionally mixed in with Greek yogurt to have a meal replacement when I want to get some extra calories and protein that I'm not getting from the food I eat that day. Maybe it'll all catch up with me one day but thus far at age 65 and 50 cents, all is well. Me neither. I have a shot of protein power after the gym. It takes me about 35 mins on the train to get home and I need something to cushion my system.
At 63, I've got a few injuries from the 1990s - bad lower back from lifting a whopping 5kg piece of computing equipment out of a box, bad knee from too many motorbike accidents and in the winter, I find it difficult to hold things. My knees sometimes don't like it when I do too many dance classes. On the whole though, apart from the odd bad hair day, I'm in pretty good shape. One of the local shop keepers asked me how old I was last week and was genuinely surprized - he said he thought I was early 50s like himself. The doctor told me he would receive "the call" either from the gym or from a dance studio. Hopefully, that's a long way off!
