I said "ROCK" not progressive, pop or balladeers. Wholly different genres. Well, Triumph was outside of the true era of what "ROCK" was all about. Started late 70s, part of the big hair sound of the 80s. Besides, some of rock's greats did a variety of stuff. - The Stones did rock, blues, country (including partnering with legends like Gram Parsons), a little jazz (Can't You Hear Me Knocking), ballads (Angie). - The Grateful Dead included bluegrass and country. - Zepplin...how many ballads, blues and other songs did they do. As a kid, I had the great priviledge of seeing the Boss when he was doing these shows when we lived on the east coast. "ROCK"...Jersey sound all the way, baby.
