And then there are people like me, who have AMERICAN ancestors that go back far enough in this GREAT country to have fought in every single war that this GREAT country has been in, either external wars or 'internal' like the civil war. I'm sure some of my ancestral 'cousins' fought for the south, but my direct bloodline was already permanently settled in the state of Iowa and the Antebellum Nebraska Territory at that time, so they fought for the Union Army. ...and I say the statues and flags should stay right where they do. Like it or not these monuments are a part of AMERICAN history, and stand as reminders of just how far we've come as a nation. No matter what, anti-American TERRORIST 'bully' groups like Antifa and BLM et al. have ZERO right to think that they can just tear these monumental parts of American history down, and as a matter of fact, when push comes to shove (and it will), these anti-American 'bully' groups are themselves going to be smashed back into the history books of defeat... just you wait and see

Both of those videos contain both truth and fiction about the history of the War Of Northern (USA) Aggression against the Southern country (CSA). Both videos made me laugh. It's satire. Funny stuff. They also contain bullshit, but it's necessary in order to be funny and for comics to make money by being on the edge of impropriety in order to keep their job. I just try to keep it all in perspective and enjoy the BS for what it is - comedy. The CSA flag(s) stand for freedom from tyranny for all citizens, not for slavery. Unfortunately, according to the video interview with James Lindsay, educational institutions have become about 95% liberal, so they teach that fucked up world view. Slavery was an issue leading up to the war, but it wasn't brought in as an excuse until about 3 years after the fighting began. Of course, we have that asshole tyrant, Abe, who labeled it a "Civil War" for marketing purposes and the name stuck since the winners write the popular history that is taught in public schools. One interesting fact about that war is that the CSA had integrated volunteer units and the USA had segregated units. ( ) There goes the 'abolish slavery' excuse. The blacks and slaves fought side by side with the CSA boys, but in the USA troops, blacks fought side by side with other blacks and had their own black units. also, there were black slave owners - in fact, the first slave owner in the NA Colonies - later to be the USA - was Anthony Johnson, a black dude - and, not all slaves were blacks.
