I have an old, but great vest made by weightvest.com. My old man has been wanting to get a vest to use for his hikes and walking, and the vest I have is great for that but for bodyweight work its a bit restrictive. I stumbled onto this vest and I pulled the trigger and bought the 225lb Max Vest. Being a vet I got a 15% discount too. Now, I can give the old man my vest and I'll use this beast for my calisthenics, Hook and Iso-Strap work! kensuifitness.com/products/kensui-ez-vest

I’ve got an old V- max 50 lb vest I bought years ago from weightvest.com. A great investment.
The Kensui vest looks good. Better freedom of motion than mine.
I can’t imagine strapping on 225 lbs and going for a walk. It would be a VERY short walk. 😄

When I wanted to do weighted calisthenics I used an old backpack. I know I got the idea from Whiffet but can't remember where he shared it. I put weights in it and stuffed towels around the weights so they would not move. Wasn't restrictive at all. That vest does look nice. Let us know how it works out for You.

Update- got my EZ-Vest and it is bad to the bone! Its all I was looking for and much more! Getting ready to do my heavy hands/ankles ruck work. Its going to take my weighted calisthenics to another level. I'm most excited about the fact that its going to provide the easiest and most comfortable method to load my back extensions. This is an exercise I plan to push hard over the next year. I want a lower back like those Chinese Weightlifters! I'll be using the regular and 45 degree extensions.

I did a 45 minute ruck with my Kensui vest, 5lb ankle weights, and 4lbs hand weights this evening before me and the old man did our isometric work, iso-strap rows, and ring pushups! Talk about a nice warmup! John McKean(prackjohn) turned me on to using heavy hands for warming up for training years ago. I just added a little extra this evening because I felt really good.
