Let’s just “pretend” there is a food crisis like reported in a recent Wall Street Journal article I read and others I noticed in my daily internet article titles I skimmed, I have a solution.
Let’s say a 20 percent food shortage exists. If everyone ate 20 percent less, problem solved. While not everyone can afford to eat 20 percent less, in America, the land of plenty as in food, most have excessive girth so that a 20 percent reduction in food (calories) consumption is a good thing.
And, with 20 percent less eaten, I’d guess there’d also be a 20 percent reduction in farting and this would go a long way in mitigating the alleged global warming the greensters are constantly warning us about.
It all seems so simple.

I've noticed that those that eat huge breakfasts with cereal for a start, then bacon and eggs and sausages and syrup, then toast and coffee have to sit two feet away from the table due to a rather large gut.
Why don't they just have a slice of toast for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then they can cut their weight down while still having three square meals a day and feed Bangladesh.
50% less food, 50% less farting sounds reasonable. It would make travel in elevators far more appealing, instead of most of the passengers lurching out at Floor 7 instead of Floor 12, coughing and spluttering from the effects of the Phantom Trouser Blaster, while the doors close on the remaining solitary occupant with a smug smile on his dial.

Yes, I was tripping over the "EXACTLY like" part. He has advisors around him to keep him informed and guide his decisions. JeP does not. JeP just invents his own events and makes his own decisions. Trump's "20 point" advantage may be in knowing that someone else will take the fall since it was their bad advice. I don't know. As for chronic lying, I don't really know. I don't watch TV or listen to talk radio, so I don't get much MSM input. I don't know for sure what he's lied about and what he has not, but in general, it seems that lying is characteristic of politicians. I pray for him because he holds the office. Not that he'll change his character, but that he will make decisions that favor the citizens and uphold the Constitution, which he swore to do.
I don't know how he has described himself. I don't concern myself with politics, as long as they don't try to screw with our liberty. I wish they would leave other countries alone, but I've never seen much encouraging interest from US citizens to make them stop. Now, however, it's become personal for a multitude of people and they are/have waking up to what other countries have been forced to deal with. Yes, he does seem to be a fairly solid Rep at the moment.
I wasn't sure what you meant by "used", but I do think he takes support wherever he finds it. What is puzzling and somewhat troubling to me about "lack of resolute action" is his inaction regarding opening the data base of vaccine outcomes that was transferred to the AHIP by the CDC, legally keeping it hidden from professional and public view for some objective and real evaluation of vaccine safety(#1) and efficacy(#2) instead of the vaccine manufacturers just saying that their product is safe and effective - The fox guards the henhouse scenario.

Until Alan answers the questions I asked him, out of abundant caution that I don't exacerbate the food shortage problem, effective immediately and until further notice, I'm reducing my food consumption by 10 percent. I'm already eating on the minimum essential side so a 10 percent reduction is huge for me. Alan, chime in and answer the questions I asked you. Thanks.

You're right mikey. "EXACTLY" wasn't a good word to use. Although I must say that even though Trump has many advisors, as you say, he is not known to act on their advice, even when it's sensible.
I don't concern myself with politics either as a rule. When I hear someone like Trump playing up, and that they affect people I and fond of, and value highly, I will make some investigative efforts just for as long as it lasts, not necessarily as a lifelong interest. My information on Trump's party-hopping was only gained from a single glance at Wikipedia, which I regard as a reasonably unbiased and accurate source, not always of course, but usually.
My use of "used" is just that. Not "collaberated" or "agreed with", "worked with" etc etc. Lke JP has done, in fact.

I would also like to respectfully request that Alan speaks to my answers to his answer to my initial post. I'm always interested in what he has to say.
I am all for moderate socialism, just as I am perfectly at home with moderate capitalism. We had a good balance in this country, where people had the choice of going into business and getting moderately rich, where workers always had a job, and the govt departments acted as determined by the govt that was elected democratically.
When the new govt came in (The Traitors) under a supposedly centre-left ticket, they set about undoing everything good in NZ, "corporatizing" the majority of govt departments ready to sell off to private enterprise, removing trade restrictions thereby rendering NZ workers in a small country directly in competition with hundreds of millions of dollar-a-day sweatshop labour in the Far East and India, and pandering to an already silver-spoon moneyed elite (The Business Round Table) who were watering at the mouths of their "new-found power".
As one of the bastards said five years later as he looked up into the TV camera, "New Zealand is now in the position where before every election, the politicians have to come to us cap-in-hand.
It was the end to democracy as we knew it, and ever since then I've only voted for some individual on a minor specific, or not at all. Why bother, when at the last, the country is run by the Moneyed Elite and like the US, the two main parties are ultimately identical ?
Reduction in food consumption here is no problem. I've always had a reduced diet, one way or another. Perhaps one square a day, not always, and some light snacks during the day.

By the way, just did some math and learned that I only ate 6 percent less calories today compared to my 7-day average so I've let Alan down. Hopefully nobody in America is underfed because of my failure. Hope I'll be able to sleep tonight and that my conscience doesn't bother me. I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Nothing to worry about there, pierini. You tried and that's the main thing, even if you did deprive some African child somewhere of a square meal, in the Universal scheme of things.
Not getting to sleep ? Lay on your back comfortably and stare at the ceiling. Then start counting from 1, carefully concentrating on the numbers as they roll by in your mind. If you ever make it to 85,912, then you've got a problem.
That's Trump's golf handicap figure as at today.

I'll save you some math and sleep. If the concern is for the underfed, simply change what you choose to put on your plate. You can eat the same amount you do now (more even) and at the same time free up way more food for those who don't have it. As for the great American waistland your solution might work for quite a few.

Gentlemen I appreciate the feedback from Macky, Mr. Potato Head, and Pierini to my posting. You all raise interesting questions about my posting. You deserve a serious answer. I will respond to these points at a later time. Right now, I'm swamped with work, so I will be visiting a little less frequently than I have been, probably more like one or two times a week.
I'll try to post on this topic next weekend.I just got a job after having been retired for about 10 years. It's a telecommuting gig, and it is rather demanding.
So it will be awhile before I can give you guys the kind of serious responses that your points deserve. But I wanted to acknowledge that I read what you said.

I have a good friend who came here from Ireland. He made a lot of money here but left the country after a divorce and some legal problems that were going to land him in Sheriff Joe's detention camp out in the desert. We still communicate via FB, but he confirms the only Press that Trump gets overseas is bad press. I think anyone not here is probably getting a very skewed view, like we have some mad man running around the White House, incoherent and incompetent.
Prior to the GLOBAL pandemic, Trump had created the best economy in U.S. History, all time low unemployment numbers for blacks and hispanics. We could have used such a bumbling fool the past 40 years in that case. In fact he's so stupid, he somehow managed to retire the Clintons AND the Bush families from politics. Again, where was this blithering idiot 20 years ago. The fact is, Trump is EXACTLY what America needed. A man who couldn't be bought. He already had the fame and the money, and everyone wanted to be associated with this guy until he had the audacity to challenge the corrupt political DEEP STATE here. It's no longer a conspiracy, it's a fact being brought more and more to light every day.
Oh yeah, and then there's the fact he's donated every penny of his Presidential salary to altruistic causes like veterans. Remember that time Obama donated ...OUR money in a plane to the terrorist nation of Iran? A stark difference. Yes, America is in danger, and we are well aware of it, that's what got Trump the job. The political class was happy to manage America right into a grave, filling their pockets on the way to the funeral. Biden is corrupt, his kid is corrupt, Obama and Holder should be in jail for Fast and Furious, etc. We have had enough, the old "Oh both parties are corrupt" stuff may have some truth, but when Obama/Biden talk about "fundamentally changing America", that makes people wake up. We DON'T WANT TO FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE AMERICA. We have a Constitution they want to be rid of in that pursuit.
I haven't been brainwashed, indoctrinated, or anything else. A million people can agree on a lie and it's still a lie. I will vote for the guy who wants to keep America great, not the one who wants to "fundamentally change" it, while making his coke-head kid a millionaire selling influence. Only a fool would vote for today's Democratic Party, everything they do is about Power, and to Hell with the America we leave our kids.
