I learned these from Nick Nilsson. I'm not a big fan of farmer walks. I'd rather do other carries like the suitcase carry because the feel really good to me. By the way, on my jobs I do many different carries. In an uncontrolled environment some of these carries can be uncomfortable. Much different than doing controlled carries, that's why I prefer to do ones that feel good.
The kettlebell swing walks are farmer walks while slightly swing the KBs as You walk. All You do is swing opposite hand with walking forward with the opposite leg. It's like as if You are fast walking without anything in your hands. But with KBs in each hand it will be slower and more controlled. As You're doing this back and forth You have to resist twisting Your torso and keep Your abs tight. I'm not a scientist so I can only tell You that it's suppose to work Your abs, forearms, and I think Your shoulders. The way I did it was walked 30 feet, rested 10 seconds, and repeated for time. You do it long enough You can get some cardio work in. I would post a video but I can't find one on Youtube but I think it's easy to understand.

Michael, I guess I would call that Heavy Hands on steroids. It's all good and the possibilities are endless and only limited to our imagination.
You may recall the KB carries complex I did some time ago. During the suitcase carries part, I do a zig-zag walk and even run for part of it. Another idea that just popped into my head right now is to walk backwards. Again, we're only limited to our imaginations.
One thing I've discovered, though, watching lots of YouTube burpees videos for ideas and inspiration is that people sometimes like to get too creative and cute with their ideas. Some of the burpees variations I've seen that are creative sometimes give more recovery time from the grind of a simple burpee. I'm sure the same can be the case with carries. They're tough and we need relief breaks, however you design to fit them in the workout.
Thanks for sharing.

(I haven't watched the vid yet.) I do a type of thing that Michael describes, but I don't walk. I just stand in place, squat slightly, and swing gently, with hands opposing each other throughout instead of one forward, one back. I like it a lot. Picked it up from Pete Wagner. It's simple and kind of Qigong-ish. Don't want to be too cute. I still do the single carry also. Some of the outside stuff involves a wheelbarrow sometimes, which has similar effect as far as I can feel.
