I met a guy up the street yesterday. He was out mowing his lawn and I was riding by my bike. He waved and I waved, and I stopped to chat and introduce myself as a guy who lives down the street. That's the sort of thing you do here in Kansas. He was an old Pratt guy who knew my wife's father and uncle and every one else in Pratt. We got around to talking about COVID-19, and he said, "It's in God's hands." He said, "This is God's punishment for how sinful we have become in this country." At that I said, "ok. Well, it was nice meeting you", and went on my way. You should have added a "Shalom" at the end, that would have had them holding a town meeting for sure !... Pitch forks and torches on my front lawn.

In other sharing, my wife traveled to Elko, Nevada a couple years ago to attend a President Trump Rally. Thanks to the Secret Service, she was in the front row, closer to him than you could imagine. There’s a couple photos of her on the internet with her in the front row holding her sign. She shared it was an amazing experience and how he had an amazing ability to connect with and engage the crowd. I’m thinking Hulk Hogan WWE style circa late 1980’s.
You ain't kidding about the Hulkster, saw him many times at wrestling shows in Madison Square Garden, and I swear that he could positively ELECTRIFY the entire building, it had to be felt to be believed !!! Mag, fondly remember one time my son and I went to the matches and saw Hulk Hogan versus Harley Race. Of course Hulk finally won the match but the two of them had everyone on pins and needles until the very end. Awesome father and son memories that'll last a lifetime. I went to lots of wrestling matches as a kid growing up and watched it on TV weekly - faithfully. This was when rasslin' was more a regional thing with a U.S. Champion on every regional street corner. I fondly wrote about once in my blog - again, more great memories. These guys knew more about selling and psychology that all the current experts combined. GOOD GUYS AND BAD GUYS

Lou Albano in the comments. I actually once met and had a beer with him at a club called 'Wave Street' on Staten Island, it was sometime either in the mid to late '80's. Capt. Lou was at the club doing a show with Cyndy Lauper and the very scary 'Ox Baker', who was one hell of an actor because 'Ox' was actually a really nice guy to talk to, but then he'd 'flip a switch' and turn into his 'Bad Guy' character

My family and I lived there for 12 years. Capt. Lou sometimes did local commercials. He was a riot. Henry Winkler was also from Mahopac. His cousin, Barry Winkler, was my VP when I was president of our county Vietnam Veterans of America chapter. Barry had been a cop.

Actually I think very few have shame. My company is offering masks for sale with the company logo. They are also making free ones available. Not sure if they are logo'd or not. Of course as I said previously re: Stalin and Atilla. It won't matter anyway. Those that like him will continue to do so, those that hate him will continue to do so and a few in the very middle may flop over from the side they were previously on.
While I don't agree with him, I could never bring myself to vote for a party that Chuck and Nancy are a part of. I'd piss my vote away on some party no on ever heard of first.

The US seems to be like NZ, with it's basically two-party system. We've got a few more parties but if any of them get into Parliament they end up doing deals with one of the two major parties and life returnes to what passes for 'normal' these days.
And the differences between the two parties are largely cosmetic, some goods things certainly but on the whole it's business as usual whichever party one votes for. It's called democracy and I guess it's better than the alternative, but pretty much the same Movers and Shakers run things from behind the scenes.
