I have one like this: But I really like the looks of the one you've linked to. It looks heavy duty and easier to squeeze. I also like that the juice automatically goes into a receptacle. I'm gonna get it. I don't recommend an electric reamer. I had one and it worked great, but it took longer to clean the damn thing than it did to make juice. And if I was going to make a bunch of juice, I'd have to stop and clean it after every two oranges. With solid steel hand squeezers all you have to do is to run it under hot water when you're done.

I just ordered the one you posted, Michael. The one I liked is unavailable, but the one I ordered will do the job just as well. I like the looks of it.

I remember when I was into juicing, how many years ago I can't remember. Did lots of shopping trying to find out the "best" juicer out there and this one came up more than once. I never bought it. I think it was the creation Norman Walker, an earlier-generation juicer. I had his book at one time. www.norwalkjuicers.com/product/norwalk-juicer-model-290-build-it-your-way/

Bought it in 1996. Built to last. Weighs about 65 lbs. very expensive ,but I wanted the best. I don’t juice much these days, but still use the grinding side of the juicer to shred and purée vegetables. Works as good as the day I bought it.

We ought to start a club. What would we call it? Can Pierini and Henry join?

I did do a little juicing in the past but I much rather make a smoothie with fruit and vegetables. I use lemons a lot now. I just wanted the hand one because the seeds are always falling in whatever I'm squeezing the lemon into. I like using lemons for salad dressing mixed with tahini or avocado and spices.

I just want to be able to easily squeeze my morning oranges and then rinse the squeezer off under hot water.

You can always use a strainer to catch the pits. Good idea Henry, Thanks!
