I just want to say thanks to Bruce for his self-resistance pages. I can’t remember when I first discover his isometrics pages (maybe 20 to 25 years ago), but I remember doing them in my office at lunch when I couldn’t get outside. I have always been mainly a body weight guy, but as I get older, I really appreciate how effective these isometric exercises are. And they do not aggravate my joint and even seem to help my joint problems. If you haven’t done them in a while, I would encourage you to give them a try. There is also a meditative feeling while doing them. It is a nice break from all the crazy coronavirus news. Zen in the Art of Self-Resistance

Thanks for this, Bob. Only thing is that the exercises are not all isometric. Most are isotonic, using your limbs. I, myself, used these exclusively for a full year and a half.

I used self resistance exercise for around 5 years or so. It is what I mostly used during my 50lb weight loss. If I didn't have weights I definitely have the knowledge to use these for a bodybuilding routine. I wish I would have found Bruce's page as You did Bob 20-25 years ago. I would have had a better grasp on them if I didn't learn them from the person that took Bruce's idea.
