I don't know about Pratt, but it is as quiet here as it used to be in the 60's.

Everyone’s home counting the days until Sunday so they can watch the doubleheader on television - the Ed Sullivan Show and Bonanza.

Things are pretty quiet here in small town Middle America. A number of businesses on Main Street have closed. Still no infection here. There are now 16 infected counties here in Kansas, and they are all to the East of us. I imagine CV-19 will eventually make its way here. We're sitting ducks. We sit atop the crossroads of two major highways through Kansas, North-South, East-West. We have a string of fast food restaurants along the highway, a truck stop, and a grouping of new 4-star hotels. The perfect place to stop in the wasteland between Wichita and Dodge City.

The Las Vegas strip is a ghost town. I never go there anyway, but the pics are striking.
lots of peeps here dependent on tip income. I’m fortunate. Aside from paper losses in the market, my conservative ways have left me well prepared.
Hope my fellow Canegurus are doing okay in these uncharted waters.

My Dad always used to say that in our town they rolled up the sidewalks at 9 PM. Kind of like that now.

Kids that were 1 or 2 when 911 occurred are now up for graduation during a pandemic. I hope they don't allow it to turn them bitter about life.

The past two weeks here have been gray and drizzly and gloomy. Today was beautiful. A crystal clear blue sky and perfect Spring weather. We went out to work on our garden today. Everything was as it should be. The Earth coming alive. But we just couldn't shake this feeling of foreboding. We sat for awhile in our Adorondak chairs in our back yard. There is a 6' fence along the back on the East side. The sky was blue, the tops of the trees were budding, but over that fence, there is a storm gaining strength and it's headed our way.

This place was packed with hippies in the 60s, it's probably as quiet here as it was in the fifties.
