I think he'll come around, but he has a problem realizing that others might be smarter than him in some areas. Ya think?

Trump's in the gun again for apparently disputing the need for so many ventilators for NY.
Yes. If he wants to think economy and relate it to the statement about the ventilators. Something about hospitals that previously needed only two and now we need thousands? Well, Mr. President, past performance doesn't guarantee future results. That said, he told GM to get the fuck to work on the ventilators so good on that. I think he'll come around, but he has a problem realizing that others might be smarter than him in some areas. Lots of hubris. On the other hand I've liked some of the things he's done in his tenure. I've never liked or disliked all any of our presidents has done. Always some good, some bad. The doctors and governors are going to drive his decisions more and more as time goes on is my thought and hope. That's always a problem with those in (public) power. It doesn't matter what they do or not, they are never gonna please everyone. But surely Trump must have realized that when calls for medical equipment go out, they are from the ones at the front end who should know what they're doing ? In the early days of the virus, Trump didn't seem to take much notice of what was really going on either.
In a way, he echoed Morrison's responses re the Oz fires. Perhaps Trump and Morrison should form their exclusive Ostrich Club ? They've both done some good things, but at times their heads have firmly been in the sand.

79-year young Dr. Fauci runs 3.5 miles a day on top of working long days; IMPRESSIVE! Apparently, he used to run an hour a day (about 6-7 miles) during his lunch hour but he's too busy now with work so had to taper back. He's got a new fan with me. He's not a geezer in my department.

True. Also true is the more recent pandemic drill named Crimson Contagion that ran in 2019 www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/crimson-contagion-2019-simulation-warned-of-pandemic-implications-in-us/2243832/. That drill told the Feds and pretty much everyone they were undergunned for an event as we're having now. Did the Feds do anything about ramping up. No. So when one side trots out the old ventilator story, the other side can trot out the more recent tests after which nothing was done aside from some people from the CDC being let go which some say made things even worse. I fucking hate politics. We are in an emergency you shithead leaders. Time to play ball with one another and get things done. The irony is, in the US, most of our leaders are in the higher risk category. You'd think they'd take it a bit more seriously. Maybe when Bethesday Naval Hospital is in short supply the politics will stop. We can hope. One more thing, in the time of real crisis, is it the time to be finger pointing and saying, "look you should have bought these then, don't come crying now". No, that is a shit move. It's time to brush that shit aside and work together. We're all from the same party now, the human race.

They can point silly fingers all they want , but it's not the feds job to have bought the ventilators when they should have been purchased, it was the Cuomo Administrations, but they rejected the purchase of the ventilators due to "funding concerns" and as The New York Times reported they focused on lotteries and death panels instead. www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/03/stunning-cuomo-refused-to-invest-in-more-ventilators-for-pandemics-instead-invested-in-boondoggle-solar-panel-farm/I agree, now more than ever is a time for cooperation. Very hard to do though, when you have a cry baby ass-clown 'Contrary Mary' like Schumer, and an impossibly arrogant, washed up, elitist piece of shit like Pelosi to deal with... Not sure where you live, but around these parts the democrat political so-called 'leaders' who are in charge of something like 'ventilator' purchasing are much more concerned with the health and overall welfare of the illegals who suck the 'social systems' dry, along with all the other welfare parasites who contribute nothing to the tax rolls, rather than the common LEGAL work-a-day citizenry...

I'm in MN. Though I didn't vote for our governor, I think he's got a good plan. Which is to flatten and extend the timeline and use the time gained to ramp up our hospital capacity by several means. If you listen to this, it is a much more measured response than pretty much either side at the national level is doing. I'm not fan of Chuck and Nancy, but you have to admit that with the personality differences on both sides at the top it's the people that are going to take the bickering in the ass. That's what pisses me off.

I just read an article that said globally half the cases half been recovered from. Didn't say how long on average tho. Yes, and most of those recoveries are from China where people have been infected the longest. I noted the date and time of the one Kansas appearance. I'll monitor it and see when he/she (hopefully!) recovers. Any updates on this? Could give us an idea of how long it hangs on?

Chuck Norris has tested positive for CovID-19. The virus is now self isolating Somehow I missed this earlier. People are taking this SARS-CoV-2 seriously, and I believe that is prudent because no one is safe in a hospital. Plus this serotype is reported to be nasty and infect more people, so it makes sense to avoid it if we can. The reason they are taking it seriously though is that it is the current media drama hype that is being pushed onto us and not because it will kill more people than the medical industry does every year. According to their own 'prestigious' medical Journals, the sum total of all MD directed treatments are directly responsible for more than 3/4 MILLION deaths EVERY YEAR! (That's the last data I saw and it's from about 2010, so .....?) How strange(?) that the media doesn't push that medical industry supplied data onto everyone with a big drama play like they are doing with the flu ...... or is it really strange at all? Coincidence? You decide!
