I just threw this together to see if it would work. For resistance, I wrapped a Sierra band around it. It actually works beautifully. Now when I get around to it, I'll get some good wood and make this 5-star pincher a finished piece. Addendun:I decided to just go ahead and make a working piece with what I have on hand. The round dowel is screwed to the bottom board with screws from underneath the board. The 1x2's on the sides are screwed into the top board with two screws each, and then one screw is screwed into the center of the dowel, over which the top board assembly rotates. I covered the ends with jar removal material for a grip. I filed rounded grooves for the rubber bands. The front end of the bottom board extends out to be able to hold the Pincher with one hand whilst pinching with the other. As grubtbrain would say, "It ain't beautiful, but it works." I had gotten those thick rubber bands 20 some years ago for something that didn't work. I at last have been able to use them.

Will this device be worked into your lower body and forearms days? Yes. I had been using a small hand gripper for pinching. The thing I made is much better.

Thanks, MBS. I prefer thinking of myself as the Rube Goldberg of the fitness gadget world.

A genuine Rube Goldberg would include pool noodles, duct tape, and webbing in his creations.

That's pretty simple to make, Thanks Bruce. How did the first picture with Your bands feel tension wise? Did You do reps or holds with it?

The tension with the Sierra band was the same as the rubber band tension. I do reps. BTW, your forearms are comprised of the most complex muscles in your body and they are all relatively small, and easily strained or hurt if you're not careful. For every forearm exercise I do, I always use a resistance that enables me to perform a minimum of 20 reps.

Your photos of your device are the tiny question mark boxes.
BUT, here's something interesting that may help you to solve this .....
Michael's avatar is the only one in this thread that has a tiny "?" in place of his pic, but all other avatars in this thread appear as they should with pix or illustrations.
EDIT: Oh, and my avatar looks handsome as always.
