Bruce, not to rain on your chocolate enjoying parade but if you exercise to cancel the calories added from your consumption of chocolate, you haven’t lost any weight unless the chocolate replaces calories that you would have eaten in other foods. And insofar as chocolate being good for the heart, The Skeptical Cardiologist remains skeptical: theskepticalcardiologist.com/2017/11/18/is-chocolate-good-for-the-heart/Fair disclosure: I enjoy and eat chocolate too. That’s a pseudoskeptic site. debunkingskeptics.com is just one of many sites exposing their fallacies, tactics and agendas Denis, With respect, the pseudoskeptic site you recommend looks to be full of woo and pseudoscience itself. On the other hand, "the Skeptical Cardiologist" site that Pierini recommends is a reputable site, and it touts evidence-based medicine.
Thanks to Pierini for bringing this site to our attention. It debunks a lot of bro science crap that so many fitness buffs fall for.

I'll counter the added lbs. with calorie burning exercise. ...... They said it couldn't be done, but Super Bruce is the only human who can outrun a donut.

OMG! Who is the bronzed miracle out in the water?! Well while people argued over and doubted the effectiveness of overcoming isometrics, I reaped its reward and full potential using the hook & iso-strap. Alexander Zass approves this post (I guess).

I'm pretty sure it was 'Dallas', and the ailment cured with walnuts was his step-moms nasty case of genital warts (?) Really? I'm gonna have to double down on the walnuts. Eat legumes with chocolate or or pastries to lower the glycemic value of meal. Thereby turning them into slow carbs. It will minimize damage. Even better: a daily restricted eating window from 8 hours down to one meal a day will create a metabolic miracle with many CV & bodily health benefits. Don't take my word for it. Just Google it.

I had to laugh when I read Bruce’s snack. It was the same as mine. I would take all raw: 1 or 2 brazil nuts, 2 or 3 walnut halves, 3 or 4 pecan halves and 3 or 4 almonds, then add a dark chocolate chips for each one. And I also found Perini’s solution to the chocolate. I got the stomach bug after eating this mix. So now I am on my weight loss snacking program for a while.

I like OMAD and ate this way for 45 consecutive days last Lent 2019. I like its lifestyle convenience and am on the fence with regard to other benefits besides helping me tame my fake hunger beast and eating less. Do you use the Zero Fasting app?

Eat legumes with chocolate or or pastries to lower the glycemic value of meal. Well that's an unusual mix. It's blah but it minimizes the impact. Specifically, the legumes of choice are lentils as they are bland by nature.

I know what You're saying But no way I would mix those. Chocolate would ruin the Misses homemade lentil soup, .

Thanks Michael for helping me find my way to post this here and not where I did earlier.
One ounce of chocolate-covered almonds is about 140 calories. A 200 lbs. man walking at a moderate pace (2.8 to 3.2 mph) has to walk about 25 minutes to burn 140 calories. No problem for someone who isn't trying to lose weight. If you're trying to lose weight, I think there's a better choice of food "costing" 140 calories that will leave you more satisfied and full. Not trying to be a naysayer here but sharing what I learned in my journey of reclaiming my middle-aged man "fighting weight."
Full disclosure: I eat chocolate and I like nuts. I'm on a Macadamia nut roll at the moment but I'm not trying to lose weight.

I have a question about satiety. I don't want to sound like the guy that says, "I got an email" but I did work with a professional on nutrition in the past. Pierini, I believe I told You about the experience, he served in the armed services. And another nutritionist told me some similar things as he did. In a nutshell, they said everyone doesn't get satiety from the same foods. I was told by the one guy that different macros create more satiety for different people. He told me to do a little experiment. He said on different days try to eat either a protein, carb or a more fat meal and note how long it takes You to get hungry. Also, read this in Dan John's book, "Fat Loss Happens on Monday". What are Your thoughts on this? Have You ever done an experiment on this? There are different variables that go into it.
I'm not referring to healthy eating when I ask this question. I'm referring to weight loss. I do believe there are good and bad foods. I believe people can lose weight eating bad foods even though it may not be healthy down the road. So if someone is eating 140 calories of chocolate-covered almonds in their diet and they stay in a calorie restriction how would this affect their weight loss goal? A calorie is a calorie, right? Just trying to understand this. Tell me if this is right. For myself, sugar is my worst enemy. If I eat something that has sugar it's very unlikely I'm just eating that amount of calories, where some may be able to. If I eat sugar that's not a fruit I crave sugar. So for myself, which I would recommend others, I'm better off not having sugar in my house. If it's not there I won't eat it.

Michael,
My 7-day average - thanks to MFP - is currently 50 percent carbs, 19 percent protein and 31 percent fat. Every day is different and, for me, it depends on exercise calories burned. On running days, I’m likely to eat more carbs. I agree, everyone’s satiety is different but in general, getting the most volume from calories eaten is a winner.
Agree about sugar, it’s the eating crack cocaine. I don’t add sugar to anything. There’s enough in food and junk eaten.
I believe the only “bad food” is too much eaten. My beliefs have evolved over time.
Hope I’ve answered your question.

I respect that we have entirely different points of view on this and similar questions. I respect you. It would probably be a tiresome exercise for us to spend a lot of energy debating each other. I'm glad you posted your point of view and treated me with respect when I disagreed.
