I probably favor the way Pierini eats. I lost and kept off 50 some pounds since 2008 eating a Clarence Bass style diet which uses meat sparingly. I'm not a big meat eater, I favor fish, veggies, fruit, sweet potatoes, and steel oats. I have recently tried the keto, Akins or whatever someone wants to call it. All I know is I felt like crap, did it for like four months. I tried just about every diet. So I think what Chandu said, "I think there is no optimal diet for any large population", makes sense. Here's a video for the guys that like science on the insulin thing. Does the guy in the video have any credentials or training. I could find zilch on the website. Not saying he's wrong, but it would help with credibility or weight of what he's saying. The organization has only been around 2.5 years www.bizapedia.com/ca/mastering-diabetes-llc.htmlI don't disagree in general, I just eat more fat and meat than he would advocate, but they are fresh meats and "good fats". I think he could actually leave out the low carb, high carb, low fat, high fat talk in the video and just tell us to eat REAL foods. Simply pick your items from the outside aisle of the grocery store and skip all the internal aisles which tend to be the packaged crap. I would advocate anyone to give this 30 days whole30.com/ and then see how you feel and slowly add some of the foods you miss back in.

Chandu, I have no idea about the credentials or training. After experimenting on myself with diet I tend to agree with some of their videos. There's one guy that is sometimes on the videos that looks like a frog, kind of makes me laugh. Texas Ranger made their videos known to me. I think I pretty much agree with You, everyone will not have the same results on the same diet. The no-carb, low carb, high carb, high fat, high protein, etc... will be made as the best diet for everyone. I believe it's the same as training, we have to find what works best for us and do our own research. I don't have a problem with meat but I'm to a point where I just don't feel like eating it to much. Besides, the meat in supermarkets looks so fake. If I eat it now,( Because of Mr. Potatoehead and Pierini) I buy organic or grass-feed. Chandu, this is very good advice and I agree: " Simply pick your items from the outside aisle of the grocery store and skip all the internal aisles which tend to be the packaged crap."
