That's funny the door moved upwards in the door hinge because I did UCV raises an exercise were I move my arms directly up and down. The door ain't gonna break if I do pulldown or rows with the anchor behind the door.

I played around with the power twister today. Not too hard, not too easy. I do the movement slow and controlled which puts a lot of tension on my chest, forarms and shoulders. There was some jittering and shaking going on when I did certain angles. That's always a sign for a weakness and if you overcome that you're usually so much stronger. I'll keep exercising with the power twister. I used to do a lot of floor chest flys but I reached the limit of my dumbbells I cannot pack more weight on them. The power twister feels way harder. Similiar to bands, you have constant tension that also increases the further your bend the power twister. Weights feel completely different

I just did 4 or 5 reps with the power twister again. Man this training tool is so good. The gains will be tremendous. It really works your forearms, chest, serratus, shoulders and even some biceps. I feel like this gonna make me so much stronger

..... I used to do a lot of floor chest flys but I reached the limit of my dumbbells I cannot pack more weight on them. ..... Have you tried holding in the positions of most tension, perhaps adding some slight movements - increasing time instead of adding more weight? I do this with 'light' weights with arms extended in positions of raises, same as I do with bands.

This guy has made his own power twisters. He's used cheap Chinese power twister springs but combined them. I suppose it might be possible to buy similar springs from a spring manufacturer? Anyway, I'm no welder so it's no good me trying to do this and I probably wouldn't be able to bend them anyway.

I got the power twister out today. My physio wanted me to do chest flys but even the weaniest of weight is irritating my right shoulder while my left side feels like it's not doing any real work at all. I was setting up two bands attached to posts under the balcony at the back of the house like a cable crossover machine. This is actually really good but it gets very hot there in the direct sunlight in the morning this time of year and the mozzies attack me in the afternoon so this evening I got the power twister off of it's hook and did a few sets of an exercise where you hold the device overhead and the arms are held similar to using a pec dec. This seemed to be the most similar exercise to a chest fly that I could do with it. The dodgy shoulder didn't grumble at all. The elbows felt ok too but I'm wondering if that will last? The spring is not particularly strong which is good because I want it for high rep stuff anyway.

I love my Xmas power twister. May get 60kg one too. Will definitely be taking it to Lanzorote in May, because we’re going on holiday to a place with no gym.

Woke up this morning and the shoulders still felt good but the left elbow felt irritated. It had been a little irritated for the past few weeks and the power twister made it worse. Nothing major but obviously a warning that it could get worse. I've now rigged up a really simple cable crossover type set up in the garage using bands.

Because of my pec tear, and the fact that I opted not to have surgery for it, I can no longer use those. That's exactly the movement that caused my injury. Crazy, I had done Power Twisters for years and then the muscle tears doing the identical move with a limb lopper. So much for functional fitness. I may start selling mine off, I have quite a collection of them. I do the "crush" move with the Bullworker now in place of that, it hits the chest, lats, shoulders, upper arms.

I ordered a light resistance (20 kg) power twister off of Amazon yesterday. Looking forward to diving down that rabbit hole. Reminds me of a few years ago when I got into bending steel bars.

I’ve got a 60kg one now, too. I wanted more resistance for my low-rep day — although I can do 15 with it and therefore may have to get an 80kg one. Problem is the price sky rockets for an 80kg version — I’m guessing because they’re not the cheap Chinese ones. .
My girlfriend was able to close the 60kg for one rep, which surprised me. She can’t close my 1.5 captain of crush, but I can’t quite shut it myself now either.
