He was certainly fatter but still seemed to have the handspeed advantage. Joshua did a lot of things wrong though.

Does matter what someone looks like. It does to some people, life is full of people judging others on their appearance and not their capabilities. I never judge a book by it's cover. I've been fat before, still had plenty of endurance and strength. That was a good fight. For him to go 7 rounds and knock Joshua down that many times is a testament in itself. |

Does matter what someone looks like. Yes, it throws havoc into our preconceived notions and constructs when the man with the Adonis build loses and some fat frump triumphs. Why do we go to the gym and eat properly if some potato chip eating couch potato can kick our ass? At least that is what I think is going on superficially with our thought process. In real life the bad asses I've known have never looked the part. I think in real life there is a lot of "looks like tarzan, plays like jane" when it comes to fighting sports. |
