It's 59 lbs man. So yeah it's for training purposes. You swinging a 16 lber all day is bad ass, got respect for guys like you. That's strength and power very few have and far greater than the average person. Just something for You to think about if You haven't already. A smaller sledge might give You a far better cardio type workout. A couple of pounds on a sledge can make a difference. You can swing a smaller one for a longer time. Really this is more of an anaerobic workout. I tried using a smaller sledge for what I do and got out of breath faster. But this could have been the lighter weight made it harder to pound the metal pole into the ground. Plus using a lighter sledge will change Your swing technique. Here's a good article explaining it better than myself: rosstraining.com/blog/2016/07/27/sledgehammer-training-bigger-isnt-always-better/ I have thought about it and I've read the article before, thank you for putting it out. My technique works for me and I do use a lighter hammer from time to time. I use my Thor hammers for going faster. I have a 30 lb Thor Hammer that I've done more than a 1000 reps in over 30 minutes and that's with little to no rest. I've done 1000+ at one time with the 59 lb hammer you see in the video within 90 minutes. Thank you for letting me know though.

Can we put this Benny crap to rest, already? The reason I posted this thread was simply to let everyone know that the person posting as Benny was not Benny, plain and simple, and that I just can't allow that sort of thing on this forum.

WHAT!? The guest account that posted as benbergman was a troll all along? He made normal posts too didn't he ? All the Ben posts are trolls I think -- they're basically parodies of someone from the transformetrics forum. All the account deletion etc was a joke, poking fun at the guy who posts on the teansformetrics site. Hahaha! So he was a troll all along? Damn! If that's true he was good, we fell all for it! Can someone message the real Ben from the transformetrics forum to make sure this Ben here in the forum is really a troll?

The guy who posted the second time ben got out if here was a troll(or even ben himself). The other who registered various times and who has a blog is the real ben. Is ben1984 the real ben or the other? Are they all the same? Place your bets!
