People always seem to look at bodybuilders and think they must be fit and strong?

Met Kaz in 1985 or 1986 at Pam Meister's gym in downtown Ft. Walton (http://nwflibrary.blogs.nwfdailynews.com/13339/today-in-local-history-february-22-4/) -- Pam was a powerlifter (fairly petite!) and brought in the big names, Bill Kazmier being one of the top names at the time. Nice guy, answered questions, demonstrated some incredible strength (didn't go for max reps...eg he'd curl 205 for three reps).
The sad thing about those World's Strongest Men competitors is so many of those guys have died so young due to heart issues.

pffft! I'll admit, somewhat impressive, but no where near the "off the charts" strength produced with the 6-7-8 protocol.

If you're going to photoshop my head onto someone else's body, at least pick one worthy of me.

I met a guy that had been a training partner of a well known, strongman competitor. This guy was telling me that when he went backstage at the competitions, he would see the strongmen popping pills and injecting themselves.

I know that Stongmen use drugs etc... Just like, Bodybuilders, Cyclists, etc, etc... IMO strongman competitions have always been more impressive than people standing on a stage posing.

The group that impresses me is Crossfit.
Drugs? No doubt.
But, they do a variety of lifts, do BW work (eg the Murph), run crosscountry, track and through streets, swim and are challenged w/ combinations of strength/endurance work. And diet is pretty critical to their success...if you read their application of the Zone Diet or a similar program, they've found what works for their sport.
