I'm only guessing that Dr Len would've approved of using a Suspension Trainer for Panerobics like the arm assisted rowing squats

It was interesting discussing fitness equipment, machines and the like with him. Kettlebells were of interest because of the whole-body nature of the many of the exercises involved, but, I'd mentioned the ballistic component and injuries associated with KBs. Single-purposed machines like the old Universal equipment and even moreso Nautilus, Hammer, etc., were something he felt, unless a physical limitation such as an injury required their use, weren't of value to him. Otherwise, the more muscles you could engage at once with the least amount of equipment, the better.
Did you find where he said he did arm assisted rowing squats? I know he used the Pan-X machine for squatting for stabilization, etc.

Arm assisted squats with varying ranges and planes of motion may not have been endorsed by Dr Len but its practice seems to be compatible with my understanding of his principles .

I do like my DIY exercise gadgets though. I like when my total cost for one is less than $5 which seems rather easy to hit when I can find the simplest design. Just picked up a 5/8" cable thimble today for $1.70. The two strands of the looped 5/16" polyester rope w/ vinyl handles lay perfectly in the groove of the thimble. I hung the thimble from my The Hook Door Anchor. This is one of the two stretching rigs I use. The other is the bicycle inner tube setup and it appears to also lay nicely into the groove. Always a good feeling when it lays nicely into the groove.
Is this close to an "arm assisted rowing squat" x 2 examples?

Thanks FatJake for getting the video posted. When I started the thread which I ended up deleting my first entry as I could not get the video to upload and tried multiple ways.
It got late and I thought I would try again tonight, but you beat me to it.
Parker, Len used the Pan-X for more then just Squat/pulls, Squat/chins and he did do squat/rows from the bottom of the arms which would translate somewhat like doing squat/rows with the suspension strap. And while the towers you mention were somewhat similar, they would still be a little high, the arms and the bar, to do the exercise the way Len did. At any rate the ROM would be severely limited. At least that is my 2 cent feeling!

In addition to arm assisted squats, I perform arm assisted lunges . In order to do both types non stop for 20+ minutes, almost all the reps are NOT full ROM. I more interested perceived heart health rather than developing leg muscles . In addition using a suspension gizmo for those cardio workouts, I often use 6' poles instead. Again I can only hope Dr Len would've approved of my Panaerobics derivative.

If you visit a nudist camp then you'll likely see all men are not created equal.
