As usual, there are conflicting views. Too bad exercise can't be like math in which 1 + 1 = 2. You wouldn't have it any other way. There's nothing you guys like more than rattling on and on about this stuff, making it sound far more complicated than it actually is and eventually confusing yourselves, m8. (rofl)

Oh, brother! Stop her right thar! Don't need to read any further. I wish these dumb-asses would stop filling the internet w/ oxymoronic BS that they make up or parrot w/ no knowledge whatsoever of the topic. They seem to just have heard someone talk about something and now, because they learned some new terms, they think they're qualified to publish nonesense like this.

I think the guy just means do the traditional compound exercises like squats presses etc, but do them isometrically holding them for time rather than reps. Maybe it could have been described better, but then again it was a single quote taken out of context, when you read it on the actual page it's pretty clear

Exactly. The meaning is unclear, especially since he thinks compound movements can be done w/ isometric contractions. We can only guess at his meaning, which is not much help to anyone.

I doubt the guy knew he had to make sure that every single sentence on his page had to clearly explain his views on isometric training just in case if some point in the future some unknown person happened to pick it at random! But if you visit the page and read the article, which is the general idea when people quote just single sentences, its very clear p.s I also think "compound movements can be done w/ isometric contractions"

p.s I also think "compound movements can be done w/ isometric contractions" Simultaneously, like Steve Justa? Yes. One can combine the two and do an isometric while doing compound movement, but they are not the same. One cannot accomplish compound movement merely by doing a proper isometric contraction.
