Here's a cool video on overcoming isometrics.

That was a very enlightening video. Of course, it helps to have a multi-million dollar machine to setup those positions. Actually, you could set up the Sierra Isometric/Suspension Trainer for any of those positions and more with some strategically placed hooks in a wall, if you're able to do so. I know someone who works out in his garage and he's got hooks all over the place - in the walls, in the overhead beam.

Yeah the Sierra isometric/suspension trainer is perfect for that. Also that is a nice way to do yielding isometrics with the Hook and cables. I have an old Body Solid power rack that I've tried to sell in the past. I'm glad I didn't sell because even though I don't have a barbell I get alot of use out of it. Anyway, I have two anchors from you that would work perfect for that stuff. I'll be keeping those ideas for later use.

I have a door outfitted w/ three door anchor levels. One @ top, one @ bottom and one just above the middle hinge. The top and bottom ones are Sierra's The Hook and the middle one is DIY w/ parts from hardware or home supply. It cost about $5 to make and can be used on any door that opens away from the person pulling bands.
BTW; All of Bruce's Sierra Equipment is pro-grade stuff. You really need to own, at least, one of his suspension straps and a set of The Hook & bands w/ door anchor, if you don't already. That may be the only thing that everyone on this forum agrees about.

I've a 7" block of 4X2, a towel, and a 3ft length of water pipe for the isometrics. And a handy doorframe plus a steering wheel.
mikey's right. The Hook and bands, door anchor are pro-grade.
Great video.

Yeah, the steering wheel is a useful tool. I used it today.

Me too mikey. It helps to stop crashing into other cars when you're driving. Not bad for an isometric as well.
Jack the seat forward for a iso-bench-press etc.

BTW, in case you hadn't noticed, in the video he's doing a 6-6-6 protocol! Does he know Soly?!! OMG!! It's the number of the Beast!! Quick! Someone email JP!!
"Hey Friends,
A man emailed me today informing me that some busted-up weightlfter has plagiarized Soly's 5-6-7 protocol and blasphemed it!...."

When I used to go to the YMCA there was a Nautilus version of the machine shouty Jeff is using. It's one thing that I miss about the YMCA - almost nobody used it, as I don't think they knew how versitile it was. Never any waiting for that machine.

I thought this was how the Athlean X guy got shredded?
Now considering they say getting ripped is about 80 percent diet, I think the OP video is misleading.

Yeah Bruce it was the 6-6-6 protocol. Now I'm so confused. Which one is the best: 5-6-7,6-7-8, or 6-6-6?

I like overcoming( moving slightly) heavy objects and holding the static contraction to failure.

I thought the 10-8-6 superior or was it the 6-8-10 and do not even try the 8-10-12 unless you are a beast.
