When You do these every day, how do You feel? I know You're retired so You don't have to do much You can relax afterward. Do You ever feel burnt out? I know there were some things I have done in the past that would burn me out. Those questions are because I'm curious, never doing this before. Nice job on Your Burpees challenge.

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #10 - Thursday, 6/10/2021
Burpees x 100 in 13:21. Cadence was burpees x 10 E1:20, final round was 1:03. Lagged interval for rounds 5-9. 0:02 slower than yesterday but better form today; slower than last year's Summer 2020 Countdown #9 on 6/10/2020 by 1:29. Did workout at park at 6:16 am with temperature of 68F degrees. Burpees have pushup and hands-extended overhead jump for each rep. Today was a better overall burpees form day including push-up depth. Today was better push-up depth for 100 reps; jumps were better too except the end is tough!

I know there were some things I have done in the past that would burn me out. Those questions are because I'm curious, never doing this before. Nice job on Your Burpees challenge. Michael, there's a certain drudgery that starts to kick in such as now which was my day 10. But I'm only doing a Summer 2021 Countdown that I started on June 1st so I'm half way there. Then I'll relax and maybe do burpees two to three times a week. Compared to last year, I'm only doing the daily burpees x 100 timed and then twice a week I do a pull-up workout where I do alternating pull-ups and chin-ups x 5 (pull-ups on odd-numbered rounds and chin-ups on even-numbered rounds.) After completing the reps, I walk for 0.13 miles which is a paved loop at the park where I go for this workout. It takes about 2:45 to 3:00 to complete a round so the entire 20 round workout takes 55-60 minutes. It's a pleasant workout, non-rushed. You are correct, I am retired and relaxation is the name of my game. I am doing some chores with rental properties but it's nowhere near physical like your work lifestyle. This challenge isn't for everyone and I don't evangelize it. This is what I'm doing because it matches my personality and I like having challenges that are date specific as to duration and performance goals. Hope I've answered your questions, thanks for asking.

Hope I've answered your questions, thanks for asking. Yes You answered them. I was going to say that You were half way there before but I wasn't sure if that would discourage You. I sometimes feel a certain drudgery kick in with things I'm doing. My challenge is that because of injuries I'm limited on things I can do. It's good this doesn't make You sore because burpees will give You nice endurance. I throw them in circuits and complexes sometimes. Anyway, Good Job and Keep Pushing through!

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #11 - Friday, 6/11/2021 Burpees x 100 in 13:06 for a 2021 personal best. Changed my cadence today. It was burpees x 5 E0:40 for 18 rounds then burpees x 10 sprint to finish. There wasn't much sprint in my finish but I tried, completing 10 burpees in 1:04. By way of comparison, last year on this day, the time for my final 10 burpees was 0:54. I was on task ready to begin a new round for all time intervals.
Monday morning quarterback viewing of the video reveals that my push-up depth left much to be desired during the later rounds. I didn't have push-up fatigue but only lack of awareness. I'm going to concentrate on getting better depth in future attempts. The real fatigue-maker is the hands-extended overhead jump as evidenced by noting my jump height in the early rounds compared to the last 10 burpees. I'm not sure an ant could safely crawl under my shoes those last 10 burpees.
Today was 0:15 faster than yesterday but 1:33 slower than last year on this day when my time was 11:33.
Did workout at park at 6:15 am with temperature of 62F degrees. It's supposed to be 100F degrees today.
Burpees have pushup and hands-extended overhead jump for each rep.

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #12 - Saturday, 6/12/2021 Burpees x 100 in 12:51 for a 2021 personal best. Changed my cadence today. It was burpees x 5 E0:39 for 18 rounds then burpees x 10 sprint to finish in 1:03.
Today was 0:15 faster than yesterday but 1:58 slower than last year on this day when my time was 10:53. My push-up depth is still a work in progress. I don't really have push-up fatigue but rather a lack of push-up depth awareness. Maybe my jumps were a little better today during the fatiguing later rounds.
Did workout at park at 6:19 am with temperature of 66F degrees. It's supposed to be 106F degrees today.
Tomorrow I'm going slower, maybe burpees x 5 EMOM for 30 rounds to get a higher-volume day; we'll see.

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #13 - Sunday, 6/13/2021 Burpees x 100 in 18:36 done at a gentleman's pace for a semi-recovery workout day. My cadence today was burpees x 5 EMOM x 18 rounds then burpees x 10 sprint to finish in 0:36 which is a good finishing pace for me.
Tomorrow I'll return to my beat-the-clock timed efforts.
Did workout at park at 6:08 am with temperature of 72F degrees. It's supposed to be 108F degrees today.
Didn't video record today's effort but here's a video I uploaded this morning on my YouTube channel.

Good Job Pierini! I don't think my Garmin is reading too well. When I do a more intense session the AVG and Max heart rate is always much lower than I would perceive.

Good Job Pierini! I don't think my Garmin is reading too well. When I do a more intense session the AVG and Max heart rate is always much lower than I would perceive. Technical glitches happen from time to time. Or, you're an anaerobic stud! Maybe a little of both. Tighten the wrist band and do a better job of getting the sensor area wetter than rests against your chest. I do know this, you'll get under readings with just the watch, I've got the data to prove it.

I'm getting under readings with the strap. The kettlebell sessions similar to the Power 5 type have all been very low. And they get me breathing a little heavy. This has been happening for a long time now.

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #15 - Tuesday, 6/15/2021 Burpees x 100 in 16:29 - today was another gentleman's burpees workout pace doing burpee x 1 then walk at least 5 steps x 90 then burpees x 10 sprint to finish (0:36) total time 16:29. The average time to complete 10 burpees other than the last round was about 1:47.
Did workout at park at 6:20 am with temperature of 86F degrees. It's supposed to be 111F degrees again today.
Will probably return to timed faster pace tomorrow.

Burpees x 100 Summer 2021 Countdown #16 - Wednesday, 6/17/2021 Burpees x 100 in 14:07 - today was another gentleman's burpees workout pace doing burpee x 1 then walk 3-6 steps x 85 then burpees x 10 sprint to finish (1:16) total time 14:07. The average time to complete 10 burpees other than the last round was about 1:30.
Did workout at park at 6:25 am with temperature of 88F degrees. It's supposed to be 109F degrees today.
Yesterday I went to the public pool for a couple hours and swam 12 laps then splashed around to stay cool. Was concerned I'd be the only older man there and didn't want to scare the little kids and their Mommy. I called the pool first and they told me there were adults who go so don't be concerned. Had a good conversation with an older turd like me so I wasn't alone. Will go today and probably get a season pass to have beat-the-heat options. Cheaper than having a pool built for $50,000.
I may only punch it for time one last time during my countdown journey; it's too hot and I don't have anything to prove. Regardless, I'm going to keep doing burpees until further notice. Their payback, for me, is too efficient to not be doing them regularly.
