This is waaaaaaaay beyond spoiled. Technology will make slaves of those who allow it. Technology is just another tool. Whoever gets enslaved by its use is just another fool.

TV entered our world when I was a wee lad. We got our TV in 1955. The first program I ever watched on TV was The Lone Ranger. I remember my father going on about how TV is ruining the quality of young peoples' lives. He was right. I've been jaded ever since. Probably because of a steady diet of Captain Kangaroo at such a young age.

It's pretty hard for kids to have that kind of self discipline, especially when their parents will just hand them the device with no time limits, over time the kids will become addicted so to cool them fools is wrong in my opinion.

Good point. It's a conditioning issue.

Well, the Internet definitely has its advantages. I am currently in email conversations with a Mr. Oomga Gawoomba from Malawambi who has been entrusted with ten million dollars from his country's treasury and needs a safe place to stash it. My bank account would be ideal, and for just hiding it, he will give me 10%! I am working on coming up with the good faith earnest funds. Afterall, Mr. Gawoomba would be a fool to just hand over all that money to just anyone without proof that I am in earnest about his proposition.

I wasn't referring to children. And anyway, as a father I can see first hand that the fact that they're growing up in this world doesn't mean they will all get addicted to or enslaved by social media. Some will and some won't. Social media don't create any new weakness; only show the ones that are already there. My daughter has an Instagram account but she barely uses it, only to post her drawings. My son follows a few YouTube channels that he likes, and both watch some cartoons in Netflix, but that is about it at the moment. EDIT: Just to make my point clear: today's kids are not any dumber than previous generations, despite what many old folks like to think. Some are gullible and easy to manipulate and others are not. Just like it always has been. New technologies are only new ways to make that clear and/or take advantage.
