Good article on how to make percentages and multiples work for you. It's great when the numbers are so infinitesimally small. People see 5x more and think that's a lot. Well, 5 times 0.00021 is NOT a lot.

I'm going to continue eating the pink himalayan salt. Trace minerals are just that - trace - very minute amounts, so infinitesimally small is what I want. The sea salt has a better taste to me (I suspect it's those infinitesimally small amounts of trace minerals) and I seem to use less to salt my food for good taste. I'd guess the fuller flavor is due to the tiny amounts of the trace minerals that are not in cheap table salt? From what I've read, it seems it is also free of the contaminants contained in table salt (small amount of; glass?! sand?!). I love the stuff, but I suppose I'm spoiled on the richer flavor. I buy it in 2 pound (32oz) bulk bags HERE. So, I'm paying less than $1.50 for a 4oz shaker full. I only eat table salt when I'm out and about without the healthy, tasty alternative of sea salt - the reason I usually have some with me in a small bottle.

My wife has some Himalayan salt that she infrequently uses when preparing food. If I was a one-man band living by myself and doing all my cooking, I wouldn't own any salt. I prefer giving flavor to my food with sautéed onions. In the spice department, I would only own oregano, basil and cumin. I used to be into pepper but gave that up.

Himalayan salt is another health food scam. It's plain old sodium chloride with some trace minerals found in the Pakistani salt mines.

Essential Trace Minerals are, well, essential. Trace minerals come from soil. Soil has been depleted of trace minerals due to Agribiz and it's a good idea to supplement with the 80 or so essential trace minerals to make up for the lack. Pink Himalayan Sea Salt is one way to boost essential trace minerals. (I also take a liquid trace mineral supplement and recommend others to do the same.)

I wonder how this Australian pink salt compares to Himalayan salt. (Isn't it amazing what you find at the back of the pantry?)

I don't know, m8, but if what it says on the package is truth, I'd expect it to be a fair comparison.

I don't know about Pink Himalayan Salt being healthier than regular Table Salt, but it's certainly sexier.
