Jrmeatplow - those videos are great! Please, keep posting! I am in my 60s, but decades ago I trained similar to what you show in your videos, but not with the amount of weight you use. Watching your videos got my blood racing and the adrenaline pumping again, and I was transported back in time, back to the 1980s and the YMCA where I trained with my powerlifting friends.
Your videos are an inspiration, sir!

He's been out for a bit due to having a surgery but he's been cleared to start getting back into it. He said he will be down Sunday to work with the bands! When he gets back in form I'll get him on a video.

As someone the same age as your father, I’d like to see some vids of him in action. I’m guessing I could snatch a 65-lb. barbell once I figured out the grip balance sweet spot but for how many reps I don’t know. The trick, as you know, is to let the big muscles do the work and the arms just go along for the ride. This is what I learned from the couple years I spent doing Oly lift training.
Let your father know I’m privately cheering for his remaining total recovery.

I think there is a lot to be gained from single hand lifting, much more than many realize.

This is impressive. I really like your pulls and the power they generate to complete the snatch. What can you two-arm snatch for a single rep and is it a power snatch or squat snatch.
Fun to view.

I don't do the two handed version anymore but I've done 240lbs on the squat style. I think I may have done between 195-205 on a Power Snatch but can't remember for sure. I'm much better at snatching than cleaning for some reason. The clean just never felt comfortable for me. Its like I could never hit the power position properly on the 2nd pull.
