My daughter took me to her rock climbing gym a while back. If you want a GREAT forearm workout may I suggest giving it a try. I have never had a forearm pump like that. And as an added bonus your fingers and hands (and most every part of you) gets quite a workout too. I have since converted a bedroom into a climbing room. All four walls and ceiling covered with holds. It's a blast. There is a lot of hand/forearm training advice to be found in the climbing world. Since forearm training seems to be of interest here I thought I would share a site that has some training equipment that is different than the standard bodybuilding stuff. sicgrips.blogspot.com/My next project is to make these. They look like they would allow you to train your grip in many ways we don't usually think of. There is a manufactured one for $90, but that is a bit too much for me. sicgrips.blogspot.com/2017/01/6grips-simplest-most-versatile-training.htmlHope you all are doing well.

Before I retired I worked in IT at a college that had a climbing wall in the rec center. I would go up over lunch and have the entire climbing wall to myself. When I started my finger and forearms would be sore for a week after climbing. It was so much fun. I have not climbed for years. I have been getting the bug to try it again at in a town 20 miles away that has a commercial climbing gym. One of my favorite things at the college was an auto belay. It would take up the slack and when you reached the top it would lower you back down when you jumped off. Have you tried to climb back down on a wall? For me the climb down was even harder than going up. Enjoy your climbing.

Bob44,
I have climbed down when bouldering, but not when top roping.
Bruce,
I thought you might like some of that stuff. The guy is pretty inventive.

Well, I finally got around to making some 6Grips. It was a fun build. Instead of paying $90 for the ones sold on the above site I made mine for around $10. I have goofed with them a little and they do give a good forearm workout. Lots of options. Attachments:

I like to watch pornhub for some serious forearm building and as for calisthenics i like fingertip push ups, pull ups hanging from a towel and also standard pull ups and chin ups to failure will build some serious grip and forearm strength and also pull ups with 4, 3 and maybe 2 fingers . Just look at rock climbers forearms !

...... will build some serious grip and forearm strength.... . Just look at rock climbers forearms ! Indeed. Check out their forearm tendon diameters from doing the iso grips holds, including some good genes for it for the really strong climbers.

My kid took me at Christmas, it was pretty hard and the shoes killed my feet. His forearms have swollen since he started climbing.

Until I discovered this I couldn’t figure out how I was doing so many thousand steps.
