This is very interesting topic. There are a lot of studies describing beneficial effects of hypoxic training for humans and animals (just google). This is only one example "Influences of Short-term Normobaric Hypoxic Training on Metabolic Syndrome-Related Markers in Overweight and Normal-weight Men" jomh.org/index.php/JMH/article/view/56

On the surface of it, wouldn't hypoxic training in effect be the same as training harder in an environment with a normal level of oxygen? To me hypoxic is to the cardio system as higher than normal gravitational pull would be to the muscular system.
Now maybe this is a way to in effect push an individual harder than they can push themselves. You don't ask them to do more in less time, you simply reduce the amount of oxygen they get. Interesting stuff for sure.

Hypoxic training without equipment Buteyko breathing is a variant of the normobaric hypoxic training (see picture below). However, do not use Buteyko breathing during workouts. Find another time for practice (2 or 3 times/day for 10-20 min). I also train this breathing for 5-10 min before my regular self-resistance workouts. This breathing greatly energizes the body and increases workout effectiveness.

Why not just workout ? Just this training increases endurance, helps to gain some muscles, and fights some chronic diseases.

Don't forget your costal breathing for highly oxygenated blood!

Why not just workout ? Just this training increases endurance, helps to gain some muscles, and fights some chronic diseases. " Conclusion: These results suggest that hypoxic training could be useful for improving arterial stiffness, circulatory system function, body composition, and energy metabolism in adult males. " The magic word being " COULD"..... there is nothing about muscle gain , increased endurance and fighting chronic diseases

Why not just workout ? This. No need to overthink it. Just be consistent and you’ll reap the benefits.

"Conclusion: These results suggest that hypoxic training could be useful..." The other magic word being " SUGGEST" - a time honored word used when attempting to spew BS, as in "Evidence suggests....". You hear that used over and over again on shows like Ancient Aliens. "EVIDENCE SUGGESTS..."
