Too bad the Exergenie was never promoted as an adjustable suspension trainer . In any case, it is a "do it all" device( strength and cardio workouts) . BTW, the HOOK can be hitched to the rope and is arguably superior to the Exergenie handles.

As I understand, this device may be used only for concentric contraction training. If so, it is the serious disadvantage because eccentric contraction is highly effective for strength development and hypertrophy. On the other hand, I agree that it can be used also as a suspension trainer for isometric and dynamic self-resistance.

If you set the resistance to zero or very minimal , the Genie magically functions as a pulley thereby allowing you to pit one limb against the other . This feature is provided in some suspension devices
