i have 2x4s on the floor of my garage that i walk on for balance training and sometimes i will stand on them and close my eyes. It is difficult to maintain my balance, but usually after getting the "feel" of it, everything settles down and I have at times been able to do squats with my eyes closed while standing on the boards. I can't really say if it has any real benefits though

Sometimes it can help improve mind concentration.

I have found myself closing my eyes while doing pure Kin Shi-Hai Do exercises. It sort of eliminates outside distractions and allows me to fully concentrate. I have no urge to close my eyes while pumping iron or Bands.

I do practice standing on one leg in bare feet on a big pillow with my eyes closed sometimes. Closing Your eyes while doing this makes it harder. Also when I go in the basement and the Misses is on the elliptical, I close my eyes. I don't want to see when she falls off.

Has anyone tried it longtime? Are there any benefits? Is there a reason you're shouting?

When I do this, much of the time I allow my eyes to close as I relax into the movement:

When I do this, much of the time I allow my eyes to close as I relax into the movement: I was doing this just now and realized that I could add that when I do that, I'm not as straight-standing as he. I kinda sway from side to side. Plus, I think I go slower because I have hands weighted with .5# to 2# each which probably slows my twists down a bit. I just try to be as relaxed as possible and feel it.

When I do this, much of the time I allow my eyes to close as I relax into the movement: I use to do these. Learned them from Matt Furey.
